As one who clings …
As one who clings to research and claims to be scientific you should guard against dismissing something as ridiculous unless you have a study backing you up. If you love research so much, it’s your turn to actually present some. I tell you what – I have yet to hear what it is that you do, anything positive, anything rational, or any research backing up what you are saying. And I am done being put on the defensive by an irrational mind, so I will respond when I see something rational from you.

Further I did not …
Further I did not say chiropractic adjustment retrains neural plasticity, but Subluxation (which I fix) causes maladaptive change – Consider one study – Seamann, D.R. in JMPT 1998; 21(4) – states that restricted joint mobility results in inhibition of A-delta and C fiber mechanoreceptors, that peripheral sensitization describes lowered nociceptive threshold potentials, and that there is “emerging impression that spinal cord plasticity is responsible for the development of central sensitization.

What the Crelin …
What the Crelin study did was to study lifeless cadaver specimens and apply the findings to a living healing response. Cadavers are great for studying anatomy but not for the physiology of a living person. The efferent model does not deal with physical nerve impingement – but with tissue inflammation affecting Nerve Root Axonal threshold potentials. Again, I am not aware of a study that indicates the inflammatory response occurs in cadaver specimens, but maybe you do.

The Crelin study …
The Crelin study wrecks the “nerve impingment” theory expoused by most members of your profession.
The evidence for anything you are claiming is where, exactly? The manipulating a back is going to affect neuroplasticity? That is truly, truly ridiculous; stick to LBP.

A better model to …
A better model to describe Chiropractic is the somatic dysafferentation due to proprioceptive inhibition with altered joint mechanics and capsular strain that accompany Vertebral Subluxation. Acute results include muscle spasm and scar tissue deposition. Chronic results include degenerative disc disease and neuroplastic maladaptation of motor engrams in spinal-cortical loops. Using 40 year old research to dispel 110 year old philosophy still does not disprove that chiropractic works.

ES Crelin wrecked …
ES Crelin wrecked this little theory in 1973.
Article is called “A scientific test of chiropractic’s subluxation theory”. What you are claiming to do is just physically impossible.

Subluxation is a …
Subluxation is a small misalignment in the spine the puts pressure on the nerves of the Nervous System causing it to not function properly leading to pain, sickness, and disease. Chiropractors remove Subluxation via specific Chiropractic Adjustments which removes the pressure thus allowing the body to heal itself. If you want to travel down the path of true health, go get your Nervous System checked by a Chiropractor!!!

Chiropractic is a …
Chiropractic is a Principle…Being under Chiropractic care makes sure your Nervous System is functioning properly. Why is that so vital? The Nervous System controls you ENTIRE body, hence the term the Master System of the body.

i have had 3 herniated discs since i was 18. im now 43. i have been told by numerous dr’s & surgeons that the only way to take the pain away was surgery. i have a few friends who have had back surgery & are now worse than what they were. i was recommended to dr. priestly of newport beach, ca. and i have to say, after a week & a half i have been virtually pain free. i have to go 3 times a week for 3 months, which i will be glad to do, since he has taken my pain away. with no surgery, no meds!!
