sebbo, i agree with you, phil IS getting a little carried away. by the way, I’m a 48 yr old male, with two Bachelor of Science degrees and a Doctorate degree. And yes, many ppl criticize chiropractic and most of them do with little or any understanding of the profession. Like I said before, it’s human nature to criticize or mock what we don’t understand. I would challenge you to learn a little more about it and to develop a better understaning of that which you disagree about. Peace.

Phil I think you’re getting a bit carried away there. I too agree with you 100% on Chiropractors but theres no need to use 4 letter words because of something they said that may have upset you. I don’t agree with what vcovreson says but he/she seems like an educated person. I don’t mind saying that Chiropractors are frauds but I have my reasons, the same as the reasons that vcovreson seems to defend the profession. As much as we both disagree with Vcovreson, he/she deserves a chance to respond.

You’re asking why should you have any knowledge about a subject you’re bashing? really? Can you define Chiro-massage? No? I didn’t think so. Here’s one of my points, just b/c a bunch of ppl (some paid by the medical profession) make negative comments about chiropractic, doesn’t make it so. also, it’s human nature to criticize things you don’t understand. to tell you the truth, MOST ppl who talk about chiropractic have never been to see one. you said friends of yours have been severely impaired by chiropractors. with as seldom as this happens, i’d like to know more about their situations.

Scroll through these chiropractic forums and look for yourself HOW MANY people CRITICIZE the profession. ITs quite amazing. sebbo, also, i don’t think anyone here has claimed that chiropractors are ‘medically qualified’. if you have thyroid disease, emphysema, diabetes, flesh eating bacteria, broken bones….. the medical doctor’s office or E.R. is exactly where you want to be. But in the treatment of MUSCULO-SKELETAL disorders, chiropractors are far superior to M.D.s. phil, again, can you cite the case where a chiropractor has caused a spinal fracture? if so, let’s hear about it. i’ll give you this, that maybe, just maybe, there have been chirporactors out there who’ve not taken x-rays and adjusted an already fractured bone. this is indeed unfortunate. what do you think you’d find if you were to hold the medical profession to the same standards? try looking up ‘iatrogenic death’, this means Doctor induced death (estimates range b/w 200K and 700K/yr).
