August 27, 2010 - 7:50 pm
It is great if you have the flexibility. If someone is suffering from pain, this is not feasible. Is there something else you can suggest? I could not get my knee in that position.
August 27, 2010 - 7:51 pm
sigh…if i could these poses i wouldn’t have to worry about back pain. thanks but i can’t do these!
August 27, 2010 - 8:36 pm
i can’t even get my knees back like that
August 27, 2010 - 9:01 pm
How do you do this though? Doing that with Sciatica is going to be EXTREMELY painful.
August 27, 2010 - 9:08 pm
If I could get the left leg in that pose I would be happy. The right leg was no problem but when I attempted with the left leg it was intense pain. I have no problem walking except the first 50 feet but driving especially working a clutch is unbearable
August 27, 2010 - 9:29 pm
Thank you! This stretch is intense but I think it will do me a lot of good. I will work it into my yoga routine.

I’ve been having severe sciatic issues since New Year’s Eve…to the point of not being able to walk! I’ve gone for acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractics…I even went to the ER and got a scrip for vicaden & valium. I still have it!!!
But I think my chiropractic visits are slowly starting to help.
I try to stay active…and stay of of a “prone” position. Too much bed rest is NOT our friend, for sure!
Take care….wishing you a speedy recovery!!!

Thanks

Find one that’s interested in ALL around health, and you can probably trust him, Ask questions and be informed about subluxations and how the nervous system works. Then you can find the root problem of your pain, and get rid of it from the source
August 27, 2010 - 11:25 pm
Man, you really have to know your chiropractor, some are just out there to make money off of your, others are there to heal you, you gotta find a naturalist chiropractor, or else you could be making it worse. Only trust a chiropractor that will give ALL background info on what he/she is doing, how it will help, and how long it will take, if your chiropractor doesn’t tell you all this, he’s probably scamming you..
August 28, 2010 - 12:14 am
I am suffering from severe sciatica and chiropractors have only made it worse. The best thing you can do is search for labackandbody on youtube. That guy has helped me a lot.
August 28, 2010 - 12:23 am
@BjorkChopp yo you would definetely want to check that out, don’t know to much about herniated disks, but it sounds like you need a massage man, don’t give up there’s a way to heal EVERYTHING msg me if u want info

My chiropractor had this kind of pain down all of both of his legs, he was a volleyball player in college, and he had to stop because of this, but he went to a chiropractor, and bango! Within a few months, almost no pain, more movement, and within a 2 year period, he was completely fine. It’s all caused by subluxations in the spine most of the time.
August 28, 2010 - 1:42 am
Hey there people, no offence to this guy, but if you want to get rid of this kind of pain, stretches will help, but what you need to do, is go to a fuckin’ chiropractor, not just any, but a good, trustworthy one.
August 28, 2010 - 2:28 am
my legs are too short so I cant fold them under me like that…..
August 28, 2010 - 2:38 am
You are absolutely correct and if someone has not had the severity of nerve compression and associated pain you have they could not possibly understand, it is actually one of the worst forms of pain you can experience.
With what you describe it is impossible to actually stretch it as the nerve damage creates a kind of pain that simply cannot be stretched and tends to intensify the pain.
These stretches are appropriate for the discomfort experienced from a simple sciatic irritation.
August 28, 2010 - 3:27 am
one problem……it hurts when i straiten my leg
August 28, 2010 - 3:48 am
so what stretches/excercises have seemed to work with you and your herniated disk? Thanks
August 28, 2010 - 4:08 am
i have a herniated disc and that is what happens to me. You should get an MRI to see if you have one.
